A third straight Championship defeat for PNE

Preston North End were beaten 1-0 at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday evening - with Lyndon Dykes’ 20th minute goal proving enough for the hosts.

See how the game unfolded, below.

LIVE: QPR vs Preston North End

Woodman gets down to keep out Chair's header, which was heading towards the bottom right corner

57' Can't sort his feet out (1-0)

Riis holds on to the ball down the right and picks out Keane with his fizzed cross. The number seven, who is sharp in those tight spaces, tries to wriggle room for a shot but QPR defend it well.

55' Scuffed wide (1-0)

QPR keep a corner from the right alive, several times, but it results in Steve Cook dragging his tame shot comfortably wide.

51' Poor touch (1-0)

Browne clips it inside to Woodburn but his touch, on the edge of the box, is poor and QPR clear.

49' Dangerous cross (1-0)

Willock takes it on the outside of Hughes and drills a fierce delivery across the face of goal, but neither Dykes or Chair can latch on to it and finish.

Back under way at Loftus Road... no changes.

Dykes’ 20th minute strike - which came from a Freddie Woodman error - has the hosts ahead at the break. PNE ought to have taken the lead, a few minutes earlier, through Liam Millar.

43' Blocked efforts (1-0)

Millar cuts inside from the left and fires it low. Riis gathers the ball among a crowd of bodies and prods the ball at goal, but white and blue shirts are there to block.

39' Let off for PNE (1-0)

Lindsay has his pocket picked and Hughes’ clearance is blocked, setting Dykes away as QPR go 3v2. But, the striker shoots early and it flies wide of the target.

34' Just needed a touch (1-0)

Chair is the obvious QPR threat, especially when they get him in and around the PNE box. It’s crossed over to the left and Willock - the other threat - drills a low cross in which manages to evade everyone in blue and white. There was a touch from a PNE man though and it’s behind for a corner. Hendrick crosses, Woodman drops it and North End manage to clear.
