The exhibition, which runs until October 25, was the idea of professional photographer Johnny Bean, who has lived in Morecambe for a year and whose mum used to holiday there regularly in the 1940s.

He’s since made friends with Graham Dean, who holidayed in Morecambe during the 60s, and Simon Dalton, whose family connections with the town go back years.

They’ve got together with creative friends to form the Morecambe Artist Colony.

Prom, Prom, Prom coincides with the run of The Dukes’ latest homegrown production of A Tender Thing, from October 1-17, which was inspired by the Morecambe and Heysham area.

The exhibition can be viewed in the venue’s gallery during normal Dukes opening hours, but call the Box Office as sometimes the gallery is used for other activities.
