Holding on to those you love

In Hold Everything Dear, the former associate artist at the Royal Opera House, explores the opposing themes of leaving, arriving, letting go and holding close.

She has drawn inspiration from the idea of migration and transience to create this 
compelling and moving 
performance.

With a specially commissioned score by the composer Jules Maxwell, an outstanding cast of dancers and musicians will bring her work to life in the Lancaster University campus theatre.

Laila, whose talent was recognised with a prestigious Rayne Fellowship for Choreographers in 2006 said of the piece: “Ours is the century of enforced travel… of disappearances.

“It is the century of people helplessly seeing others, who were close to them, disappear over the horizon.”

Tickets for the evening are £11.50 for adults, £8.50 for senior citizens, disabled people and the unemployed or £7.50 for students or the under 16s.

Doors will open at 8pm.
