Midas Fall play Ferret show

The female-led trio combine electronica and post rock to create their own distinctively shimmering soundscapes, have already played their own headline tour of Europe in 2011.

Their EP, As Our Blood Separates, released last year, won them widespread critical acclaim and they put out their second album, Wilderness, on indie label Monotreme last month.

And they have also won coveted support slots with the likes of their label mates, 65daysofstatic, We Were Promised Jetpacks Japanese post rockers MONO and Tides From Nebula.

Their first European tour included a slot at Belgium’s Dunk! Festival and sold-out shows in Athens, Sofia, Glasgow, 
Manchester and London, an appearance at Germany’s 
Dark Spring Festival and a spot on the main stage at GoGo Festival.

The three piece – singer and guitarist Elizabeth Heaton, bassist and pianist Rowan Burn and drummer and percussionist Pedro Pallat – will be supported at the Fylde Road music pub by four-piece, Go Around Captain.

Although hailing from Preston, this is only the second 
appearance at the Ferret stage for this brand new quartet.

Formed by Alan Gillhespy, of Ramonastone, and Tony Arnott, formerly of Pencil In, alongside Alan Keirby and Jake McNaboe, the band made their debut there earlier this year.

And opening up the show will be A Cat Called Dog.

Doors open at 8pm on the night and entry to the show will be free.
