Popstar turned TV presenter and actress Toyah Wilcox is coming to Lancaster with smash hit girlie show, Hormonal Housewives. Plus a round up of the region’s theatre shows, performances and events
The Hormonal Housewives are back on tour starring British pop icon Toyah Willcox, writer Julie Coombe, and former Hollyoaks actress Sarah Jane Buckley.
This comedy show for women whose man is more James May than Christian Grey was written by husband and wife team Julie Coombe and John McIsaac.
This tour includes all-new sketches, as well as best bits from last time.
Toyah had 13 top 40 singles, recorded 20 albums, written two books, appeared in more than 40 stage plays, made 10 feature films and presented TV programmes from The Good Sex Guide Late to Songs Of Praise.
Julie Coombe has enjoyed a varied career in theatre, radio and television, from Shakespeare to new writing to pantomime.

The monthly Fairtrade Tea Dance is at Preston Guild Hall on Tuesday afternoon. Chris Hopkins plays familiar tunes on the organ for mixed ballroom and sequence dancing.

The region’s first Craft Hack event is at Preston’s Emmaus shop on Friargate on Saturday May 25, where artists get creative with unwanted items.
Artists from many disciplines will explore the notion of up-cycling, on the theme of Words. Materials, basic tools, and sewing machines will be provided, and artists are encouraged to bring any materials or tools they like.
All items in the Emmaus shop will be available to use and artworks will be displayed at Emmaus throughout their Up! project.
