A Grand old theatre tour
If you've ever wanted to stand on the Grand Theatre's raked stage, tomorrow's Heritage Tour provides a perfect opportunity.
Led by theatre archivists Geoff and Linda Tolson MBE, the tours allow participants the chance to stand on the famous stage and observe the cantilevered tiers of circles, boxes and pit.
Frank Mitcham is the architect responsible for the Grand’s design and you can learn about his flamboyant nature along with the theatre’s long and lively history.
