Manchester Camerata, one of the UK’s leading chamber orchestras return to Live at LICA’s Great Hall at Lancaster University next Thursday with a programme that delves into the seamy world of Berlin cabaret and political theatre between 1900-1933 and beyond.

Versatile soprano Mary Carewe joins Camerata principal players as they journey through the music of this era in an evening that features songs by Schoenberg, Zemlinksy, Spoliansky, Weill, Eisler, Hollaender and Gershwin.

These include Falling in Love Again, Mack the Knife, Chuck Out the Men, Alone in a Big City and many more.

Manchester Camerata performs to 70,000 people each year, presenting an annual
series at the city’s Bridgewater Hall, where they are the chamber orchestra in residence, as well as at the Royal Northern College of Music.
