The stories of two remarkable young people come Lancaster’s Dukes next week.

Savage Children is the first collaboration between the Dukes and theatres in Bristol, Bath and Cardiff who joined forces to make quality drama for young people.

The two plays are Mirad, Boy from Bosnia, 20 years old this year, and Wild Girl, 
written 10 years ago.

Mirad, on May 21 and 22, shows on a boy’s search for his mother after his father’s death in the Bosnian civil war. Each 45-minute performance is followed by a post show talk-back, is free to ticketholders.

Wild Girl, from May 23-25, the true story of 10-year-old feral girl, Memmie Le Blanc, found on a country estate in mid-18th century France, was written by John Retallack, director of both Savage Children plays.
