Suggs: my life of Madness
Not one but two opportunities next week to catch a unique evening featuring one of modern music’s most endearing characters.
Suggs’ My Life Story – at the Grand in Lancaster next Wednesday and Preston Charter Theatre two days later – features Graham McPherson, frontman of pop band Madness.
He takes to the stage to talk audiences through his life, up to the grand age of 50.
As he justifies it: “I’ve just turned 50, the kids have left home, and my cat has just died.”
Clearly a turning point in any man’s life for a witty and eccentrically-delivered show that will be accompanied with a few of the tracks that got him where he is today ... but with a comical twist.

One of the country’s most popular touring music shows returns to Preston Charter Theatre on Saturday night.
Beyond the Barricade returns with a brand new 2013 production, re-creating original West End/Broadway musical hit songs with authenticity. The show features a cast of past principal performers from the London production of Les Miserables, and its recent 25th Anniversary Concert at the 02 Arena. This production will also include songs from Miss Saigon and The Lion King. Box office: 0844 844 7714 or www.prestonguildhall.com
