Breaking: Vue cinema '˜not leaving Capitol Centre'

Bosses at Vue cinema have said they will not be leaving the Capitol Centre in Walton-le-Dale.

In a dramatic turnaround, the cinema has confirmed they will not be leaving the site.

A statement said: “Vue cinema has been located in the city’s Capitol Centre for the last 20 years and is a well-known, popular destination for film fans in the local community and beyond.

“Vue is looking forward to continuing to operate within the centre providing the best in big screen entertainment for the foreseeable future.”

A press spokesman for Vue added: “Vue cinemas are definitely not leaving the Capitol Centre. I can confirm Vue have no plans to leave the Capitol Centre.”

She declined to comment on the reason for the change in the plans.
