The outdoor market at Preston Markets will reopen from Wednesday (June 3), welcoming back the long standing, independent traders.
To help maintain the social distancing guidelines, the outdoor market will begin by trading on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8am to 2pm, until further notice. The market will trade with a reduced number of stalls, providing adequate space for customers and the traders to shop and browse safely.

!It has been great to witness the support of Preston Markets from the people of Preston through this difficult time and I would encourage everyone to continue to shop local and support our independent businesses who are anchored in our community during this unparalleled time.
“We look forward to welcoming back the other traders to the Market Hall and Box Market, when it is safe to do so.”
According to the council, advice was sought from health & safety specialists to discuss the new layout and safest way to re-open, while floor stickers will be installed to help social distancing and monitor queuing.
