Tailbacks on Lancashire motorway
Traffic congestion was building up on the M61 today after an accident.
Slow traffic was reported on the M61 Northbound from Junction 9 at Walton Summit to junction 30 of the M6.
A vehicle involved in an accident was moved to the hard shoulder by 12.35pm but police said traffic remained slow past the scene until it eventually cleared.
