“Due to the fire being in the kitchen, we are unable to provide food and refreshments for pupils.

"As a result, we will need to close school today at 1pm. Those pupils entitled to free school meals will be able to collect a grab bag before leaving school.

“Every effort will be made to rearrange buses for collection of pupils, however at this point, we are advising parents to ensure children are able to make their own way home.

"We will keep you informed as the situation changes.

“Work for period 5 lessons will be set on firefly. Arrangements for tomorrow will be sent out later today.
