The Holy Cross Catholic High School teenager has been a member of Chorley Little Theatre for about four years and although she has had big parts, decided to try her luck backstage.

Lucy, 14, who took part in the school’s production of Oliver and is part of their popular Musical Theatre Club, recently won a NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) for her part as Dinah Glass in the Little Theatre’s Demon Headmaster.

She’s been directing thespians older than herself with CLTs recent production of The Light Burns Blue.

Lucy said: “ It was nice to try something different and I think being back stage helps you be a better actress on it, you can see where people are going wrong.

Winning the NODA award was a real suprise as it was for the best actress in a youth production in the north-west so it was a huge confidence boost.

“I am now wanting to get back on stage for 13 the Musical which Chorley Little Theatre are currently holding rehearsals for. My dream is to act in the West End.”
