The Light Infantry Corunna Band, based at Weeton, near Preston, paid a musical visit to Moor Nook Country Primary School in Preston. They captivated some 340 pupils with a full concert covering songs from traditional brass band to Status Quo. Military hardware, worth the best part of £1m, has rolled into Lancashire on the latest leg of a journey to the front line. The 10 Saxon armoured personnel carriers which arrived at Weeton Camp, near Preston, will be used to train soldiers for their role in a conventional war in Europe.
