Epic paddleboard adventure sails through Lancashire

AN adventurer aiming to become the first person to paddleboard the length of England is set to sail through Lancashire.

Lizzie Carr set off weeks ago from Surrey on a 643km
journey through the heart of the country to highlight the
issue of plastic pollution.

Today, the “self-taught
outdoor junkie” who left a
career in marketing, will travel along the Leeds Liverpool Canal, River Ribble and Lancaster canal through Preston towards Lancaster.

She is set to finish her epic journey just south of Kendal.

The journey will have taken her through 193 locks and more than eight
