Ten ready-to-move into affordable homes have come on to the market in Lancashire – but at this price, they are not expected to be around for long

A development of brand new shared ownership homes has gone on sale in Broughton, offering affordable living to local people, with certain key workers being prioritised.

Auxesia Homes, a provider of new build affordable homes who prioritise individuals and families affiliated with the British Armed Forces, NHS or emergency services where possible, have partnered with Ascot Homes on their new flagship D’Urton Rise development.

On offer are ten houses, either two or three bedroom homes, each available to purchase on a shared ownership basis.

D’Urton Rise is located close to the sought-after village of Broughton. As soon as you enter the development and reach the top of the rise you’ll immediately recognise the care and attention to detail that the developer has taken to create a beautiful development which offers stunning views reaching across some of Lancashire’s most beautiful countryside over the Bowland Fells.

William Boyle, project coordinator at Auxesia Homes, adds: “Having followed the build of these properties throughout, we are delighted to have now taken handover of the keys. I have no doubt our shared ownership buyers will be very pleased with the quality and specification.”

How it works

Shared ownership is a government-backed scheme designed to make stepping onto the property ladder more affordable. Buyers can purchase between 25% - 75% of a home and pay a low-cost rent on the remaining un-purchased share. You are eligible for shared ownership as long as you don’t currently own, or won’t own another property, at the time you move in. Your annual household income must not exceed £80,000, and you will need to have savings to cover typical purchase costs such as solicitor’s fees and your mortgage deposit.

Who can apply

Special preference is given to certain key worker applicants, and local connection tests also apply meaning you must have a strong connection to the area, such as it being your current residence, having immediate family, or needing to live locally for work.

Each of Auxesia’s ten homes is ready to move in now. To find out more information call 01565 648284, or visit www.auxesiahomes.co.uk
