New homes registrations on the increase
Over the last three months, 38,577 new homes (30,170 private sector; 8,407 public sector) were registered between September and November compared to 37,634 (30,120 private sector; 7,514 public sector) in 2014, an increase of three per cent.
Commenting on the new registration statistics, NHBC chief executive Mike Quinton said: “New home registrations for the last three months have remained slightly ahead of the same period last year, following the growth we have experienced throughout 2015.

Hide Ad“We hope that this momentum continues into the New Year, as we have been clear that while all growth is encouraging news, the UK is still building way below the volumes of new homes that it desperately needs.”
In the North West, there 3,848 registrations this year, compared to 2,738 last year.
Across England, it was 33,418 this year compared to 31,780 last year.
During September – November 2015, the number of registrations was 38,557, a three per cent increase on last year (37,634). Of these, private sector registrations increased marginally (30,170), compared with the same period last year (30,120).
Public sector registrations increased by 12 per cent (8,407), when they are compared to the same period last year (7,514).
