IN PICTURES: Cuerden Valley Park through the seasons

Lancashire's parks have been life-savers in lockdown, a place to unwind, enjoy the air and appreciate our beautiful county at a social distance.

In the first of a simple phone-snap photo series, we share pictures from throughout the year at Cuerden Valley Park in Chorley.

Cuerden Valley Park consists 650 acres of green oasis, surrounding the meandering River Lostock in Chorley. Formerly a working estate with parkland and farming, it used to be part of the ground of Cuerden Hall, which is now privately owned and undergoing a renovation.

Managed by Cuerden Valley Park Trust, there are multiple car parks and entry-ways and it includes gems such as the walled garden, the hidden path and is endlessly popular in summer for children to play pooh-sticks across the bridges. There is a visitor centre and a cafe and you can check out more information via the Facebook page.

Entry to the park is free but you must pay for car-parking, which helps maintain it. All pictures Nicola Adam for lep.co.uk
