Spotting herself on the Retro page was just the tonic for pharmacist Victoria Heald.
Victoria, now 26, and working at Hope Hospital in Manchester, was shown the photograph by her uncle.
It was in our June 27 edition, showing her as one of four young ladies carrying the Bible for St George’s Church in the Chorley Walking Day, in June 1994.
Victoria was front left, with Elizabeth Brown, front right.
She says the girl, back right, was Kathryn Hesketh, but that she cannot remember the name of the other girl, but thinks she may be called Donna.
“We always walked, “ said Victoria.
“We did different jobs each year through the Sunday school.
“That year was carrying the Bible.
“We did other jobs such as attendants to the rose queens, helped with the big banners and, I think, a few of us have walked at the front.”
She added: “My uncle Graham Heald spotted the picture and brought it round.
“It was a real surprise and nice to see. My dad (Keith) was well chuffed.
Victoria still lives in Chorley, at Oakwood Road.
