APPRENTICE Leanne Duffin is celebrating success after winning a top award at the first ever Lancashire Modern Apprenticeship Awards.
Leanne won the Personal Achievement Award in the 16 to18 years category and received a cheque for 250 as her prize.
The Lancashire Modern Apprenticeship Awards 2004 were organised by the Learning and Skills Council Lancashire to recognise exceptional employers and apprentices.
Leanne, 17, has overcome difficulties at school to work towards her retail NVQs with Rathbone Training whilst on work placement at Creme Clothing.
Since embarking on a work placement through e2e (Entry to Employment), Leanne has gained essential qualifications, boosted her confidence and has never looked back. She now plans to complete her NVQ level one and move on to NVQ level two and has big ambitions for the future.
