Ennis Flint EMEA, a global firm specialising in road markings and traffic safety solutions, has expanded its operations at its Lancashire headquarters in Chorley.

Previously Ennis-Prismo, Ennis Flint is the market leader in the Americas and has been growing steadily in the European, Middle East and African, (EMEA) territories to now occupy a strong market position.

The company, which has an annual turnover of £35m, can trace its origins back to 1935 and employs 75 people in the UK with 20 other locations across the world. The demand for its products and services has resulted in the Chorley operation taking 24,000 sq ft of industrial space from Roundhouse Properties.

Keith Dawson, managing director of Ennis Flint EMEA said: “Our strong growth fuelled by an increase in new business in the EMEA regions has meant we have needed a bigger site that gives us the ability to increase productivity.

“In addition, the benefit of being located next to the motorway means that we can despatch our products to UK and international clients quickly and efficiently.

“Furthermore, the local workforce was another deciding factor in increasing the size of our presence at Chorley North Industrial Park. We have access to highly trained people that are committed to working for one of the world’s leading businesses in its field.”

Ennis Flint will be taking a 10-year lease at the site and will also be creating four new jobs as part of its expansion plans.

Another company which has chosen Roundhouse Properties’ Chorley site to grow its fitness business is Service Sport.

It recently relocated from Bolton on a 10 year lease.
