Charity night is big success

A CHARITY Comedy Night raised more than £500 for two local causes.

The live comedy event held at St Chads Parish Centre in Chorley now in its fourth year had a number of names on the bill including Pete Otway , Dominic Woodward and the legend Johnnie Casson.

The money donated was split between the Chorley Branch of The Guide Dogs and Chorley’s Angels for first aid in the community.

A spokesperson said everyone involved had a great night.

Organiser Michael Ellison added: “It was a great night of comedy and everybody enjoyed themselves. This is the fourth time I have done the comedy night and I am hoping I can do another on later on in the year.”
