Children’s teeth are stolen in £5k burglary

Children’s teeth were among a haul worth £5,000 stolen from a property in Heskin.

The teeth were in silver trinket boxes and were among the items taken from the property in Wood Lane.

There was also a Cartier bangle, two antique Rolex watches, a laptop and £300 in cash stolen.

The offenders struck between 12pm on August 4 and 16.45pm.

Insp David Robinson said: “The offender has gone down the side of the detached dwelling and used a flat bedded instrument to force a rear door. They have entered inside and taken a gold Cartier bangle that was in a red leather box and worth £2,500.

“They have also taken two antique Rolex watches, worth £500, and the laptop which has been valued at £1,500. The silver trinket boxes with the children’s teeth inside held significant sentimental value.”
