A man has been fined £40 for breaking a 30mph speed limit. David Wright, 53, from Troutbeck Road, Chorley, pleaded guilty. Three points were added to his licence, and he must also pay a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £85.

A man who drove without the relevant insurance has been fined £660. The case of Dean Robert Crawshaw, 25, from The Green, Eccleston, was proved in his absence. Six points were added to his licence, and he must also pay a victim surcharge of £66 and costs of £85.

A speeding driver has been handed a £245 fine. Peter Martin Devaney, 49, from Chorley Old Road, Whittle-le-Woods, drove faster than a 30mph limit. He admitted to the charge, and must pay a victim surcharge of £25 and costs of £85. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

A man has been fined £660 for failing to give information to police about a driver alleged to have committed an offence. The case of Kyle Jordan, 22, from Hunts Field, Clayton-le-Woods, was proved in his absence. Six points were added to his driving licence, and he must also pay a victim surcharge of £66 and costs of £85.

A man has confessed to being drunk and disorderly in High Street, Chorley. Chene Alexander Ferguson, 31, from Eaves Lane, Chorley, was fined £75, and was also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge, and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

A Chorley man has been found guilty of breaking a 40mph speed limit. Lee Ryan Hayward, 37, from Burgh Wood Way, denied the offence. Three points were added to his licence, and he was fined £220. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £200.
