.Neil Colin Gardner, 49, of Haigh Avenue, Leyland, was sent to prison for six weeks by Preston magistrates for three counts of stealing meat from supermarkets. He had to pay £115 victim surcharge. The offences occurred at Tesco, Leyland, on May 10 and 27; and Asda, Leyland, on June 20.

Aiden James Dewhurst, 22, of Perthshire Grove, Buckshaw Village, was bound over by Preston magistrates in the sum of £50 for six months to keep the peace.

Andrea Giovanni, 25, of Whittam Road, Chorley, was disqualified from driving for nine months by Preston magistrates for driving without valid insurance. She was also fined £250. The offence happened in Chorley on November 11. She was also charged with failing to give information about the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
