Chelsy Rachael Hart, 26, of Mill Lane, Coppull, was fined £40 by Chorley magistrates for driving at a speed exceeding the legal 40mph. She had to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Her record was endorsed with three points. The offence happened in Coppull Road on August 16.

Richard Darbyshire, 35, of Alder Grove, Coppull, was fined £212 by Chorley magistrates for assaulting a man. He had to pay £30 victim surcharge and £300 costs. The offence happened in Chorley on December 14.

Karl Christopher Hepworth, 26, of Progress Street, Chorley, was given a community order by Preston magistrates for stealing four batteries to the value of £780 from Ruttle Plant Hire in Chorley. He had to pay £150 costs and £85 victim surcharge. The offence happened on November 18.

Neil Ernest Rigby, 44, of Alder Close, Leyland, was given a community order with drug rehabilitation by Preston magistrates for driving whilst under the influence of drugs. He was also charged with driving without due care and attention and without insurance. He had to pay £40 fine and £85 victim surcharge. He was disqualified from driving for 24 months and his record was endorsed. The offence happened in Towngate, Eccleston, on December 22.

Jordan Ben Fenton, 22, of Great Meadow, Chorley, was given a community order by Preston magistrates for assaulting a man. He had to pay £380 costs and £85 victim surcharge. He was given a restraining order. The offence happened February 15.
