Members of a Chorley church are holding sessions to help people manage their money wisely.

The group of four are from St James’ Church, Brooke Street.

They are all trained to run the course which has been devised by the international charity Christians Against Local Poverty (CAP).

One of them, Joan Geddes said; “We are happy to deliver the course and would be pleased to talk to any organisation who knows people who might be interested.

“There are normally three sessions of one-and-a-half to two hours in length over three weeks and are free.

“Our next course runs for Monday, February 24, and March 3 and 10, at 1pm in St James’ Church.”

CAP is an international charity that partners with local churches to help people with debts to become debt free.

It has more than 200 centres around the country.

As yet, there is no CAP Centre in Chorley.

The nearest is in Lostock Hall.

Joan added: “We want to let people know that we can run the course for almost anyone, almost anywhere in Chorley.”
