Collision in Chorley

Four people were taken to hospital this morning after a crash in Chorley.

The smash happened just before 8am at Briers Brow near the Dressers Arms - all three emergency services were called to the incident.

One male, who complained of back pain, had to be cut free from his vehicle.

Roads heading in and out of Wheelton were closed for approximately one hour - the road has since been reopened.

A spokesman from Lancashire Fire and Rescue, said: “Three engines attended the scene and were on site for one hour.

“The firefighters had to use the cutters and spreaders to help release the male from his car.”
