A car hit a lamp post and rolled three times on a busy main road when the driver fell ill at the wheel.
A 69-year-old man drove the Nissan Qashqai out of Chorley And South Ribble Hospital and was heading south along Euxton Lane, Chorley, when he felt unwell shortly before 6pm yesterday.
The car hit a lamp post, which caused it to roll three times before coming to a stop on the opposite side of the road.
The driver was taken to hospital with a head injury and a broken arm. He is reported to be in a stable condition in hospital and is likely to make a full recovery.
His 70-year-old wife, who was a passenger in the car, suffered minor cuts to her face.
The road was closed for two hours following the crash.
