A Chorley pair who were injured in a car accident last week have been allowed home from hospital.
Police confirmed an investigation is ongoing after driver Laura Bass, 21, and passenger Shaun Miller, 22, were involved in an accident on the M65 last Monday night.
It’s thought that she lost control of the vehicle because of wet weather, and it flipped over four times.
Ms Bass was cut free from the blue Peugeot 206 after the crash, and a friend told the Guardian it was ‘a total miracle’ she was not more seriously injured.
She was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with cuts to her face and head.
It’s thought Mr Miller was not in the car when the emergency services arrived.
He was later treated for spinal injuries at the Royal Preston Hospital.
Police closed the westbound carriageway near junction five of the M65 for three hours after the accident.
