Bamber Bridge man charged with attempted murder after 32-year-old stabbed in Chorley

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a person was hospitalised following a stabbing in Chorley.

Police were called to a report of a stabbing at an address in Eaves Lane shortly before 5pm on Sunday (March 21).

A 32-year-old man was found with a stab wound to the chest and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by ambulance.

He was later transferred to Blackpool Victoria Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Today (March 25), officers confirmed Malik Hussain, of Station Road, Bamber Bridge, has been charged with attempted murder.

The 19-year-old appeared before Preston Magistrates’ Court yesterday (March 24).

He has been remanded to appear at Preston Crown Court on April 27.
