A man was attacked after being dragged out of his vehicle during a carjacking in Accrington.

Police received a report a man had been pulled out of his car and attacked near the Bees Knees pub in Blackburn Road at around 1am on Sunday, October 9.

The victim said the attackers then drove off in his car.

Officers said the vehicle was later involved in a short pursuit in the Blackburn area before being located on a street abandoned.

Detectives on Tuesday (November 8) released CCTV images of two men they wanted to identify.

“Officers are asking for help in identifying the males involved in the incident or witnesses to the robbery,” a spokesman for Lancashire Police said.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that may help police should call 101, quoting crime reference number 04/170437/22.
