Leyland man, 22, wanted by police after cars are stolen in Bamber Bridge

A 22-year-old Leyland man is wanted by police after two cars were stolen from homes in Bamber Bridge.

Police say James Ashton, 22, is wanted in connection with a burglary in Church Road, Bamber Bridge on March 24.

Two vehicles were stolen and officers say Ashton, previously of Mosslands, Leyland, is wanted for questioning.

He is described as 5ft 7ins, with a slim build and short ginger hair.

As well as his hometown of Leyland, Ashton also has links to Bamber Bridge and Chorley.

Sgt Paul Harrison of Lancashire Police said: "If you know where Ashton is or if you see him, please call police providing his location and a description of his clothing.

"Furthermore, I would urge Ashton to come forward and speak with police as soon as possible. I would also remind anyone helping him that it is an offence to assist an offender."
