Man arrested in Bamber Bridge on suspicion of dealing cannabis

A man has been arrested on suspicion of dealing cannabis in Bamber Bridge.

Officers in South Ribble made the arrest after they noticed a "rather pungent odour" wafting from a car driving ahead of one of their patrols this morning (February 12).

The vehicle was then pursued and intercepted by Tactical Ops who searched the man and his car, with officers uncovering a stash of cannabis and cash.

The driver has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

A police spokesman said: "Officers from South Ribble Police noticed a vehicle emanating a rather pungent odour. The vehicle was intercepted in Bamber Bridge.

"Search of the vehicle revealed a large quantity of cannabis and a large wad of cash. Driver arrested for possession with intent to supply."
