Man hurt after street assault
A man was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital after hitting his head on the pavement in what police believe was an altercation with two other men.
The man, said to be in his 30s, is thought to have been punched during a dispute in New Hall Lane, Preston at around 2.25pm today and fell to the floor, striking his head.
A police spokesman said: “We were called by the ambulance service after reports that a man had been assaulted during an altercation with two men.
“There was a suggestion that he was punched and then suffered a head injury when he hit his head on the floor.
“We are investigating the incident.”
It is not yet known how severe his injuries were.
