'Mindless' vandals slash tyres on car adapted for disabled child
The incident, which was described by police as "distasteful", is one of a number of similar crimes to have taken place this week, say police.
Residents have reported their tyres being slashed on Station Road and Collins Road in Bamber Bridge and Pear Tree Crescent in Walton-le-Dale.

Hide AdPCSO Teresa Smith said: "There have been a number of tyre slashings to vehicle owners in the Bamber Bridge and Walton-le-Dale areas in the past week.
"Whilst this has clearly caused mass inconvenience and cost to residents, what is particularly distasteful about this mindless act of vandalism is the effect on one particular resident.
"The vehicle belonging to this resident has been specifically adapted for a young disabled child, the signs indicating this clearly visible to passing members of the public.
"We have increased targeted patrols in the area, both in marked and unmarked vehicles. We are also conducting plain clothed patrols in the hope of catching the offender/s."
