Police keen for dash cam footage after fatal motorbike crash in Hoghton

Lancashire Police are appealing to motorists with dash cams that might have witnessed a collision in Hoghton that resulted in a motorcyclist dying.

The incident between a Yamaha motorbike and a Fiat Punto took place in Blackburn Old Road, Hoghton, near Chorley, at around 8pm on Sunday.

The rider, a 35-year-old man from Blackburn, suffered a number of serious injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at hospital.

His pillion rider, a 26-year-old woman, suffered a serious injury to her hip and was taken to hospital for treatment. The driver of the Punto, a 20-year-old woman from Blackburn, suffered minor facial injuries.

Police are now continuing their appeal for witnesses - especially those with possible dash cam footage that could help with their investigation.
