Wife in court over solicitor’s death

A NEW bride accused of murdering her solicitor husband has made a further appearance in court.

Sharon Edwards, 42, of Parkers Wood Close, Chorley, is charged with killing David Edwards.

The 51-year-old solicitor was found with a stab wound to his chest at their £300,000 home.

Edwards, who appeared in the dock at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday, did not enter a plea.

The couple were married in June and had only recently 
returned from their honeymoon.

Mr Edwards, a criminal defence solicitor of 26 years’ standing, was found dead on August 23, this year.

He had been a partner at a local law firm, Kevills, based in Chorley, until being made redundant.

Edwards will go on trial for murder on February 23, next year at Manchester Crown Court.
