The award is sponsored by NHS England and is for nurses who have developed initiatives to support carers and who can demonstrate that their initiative has had an impact on carers’ own physical and mental health, as well as improving the health outcomes for those being cared for.

SEED Lancashire offers information, advice, education and practical help for individuals suffering from eating disorders and their carers. They are the only charity providing this help in Lancashire.

The group has helped hundreds of people suffering from eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia to turn their lives around.

It tackles eating, food and weight-related issues for sufferers and their family members or carers. It is estimated 1.6m people suffer from eating disorders in the UK.
