Elderly man missing from Tarleton

Mr Nugent was last seen in the Hesketh Lane area of Tarleton at around 9.30pm yesterday.

He is described as 5ft 8ins tall, with a medium build, grey hair and glasses. He has links to Hesketh Bank, Tarleton and Southport,

Insp Nicholas Collier, of Lancashire police, said: “This is very out of character for John and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

"I would ask anybody who sees him or knows of his whereabouts to get in contact with us immediately. Similarly, I would ask John himself if he sees this appeal to make contact to let us know he’s OK."
