The ladies organised a fashion show with the help of high street retailer Bon Marche, who provided clothes for the members to model.

The event raised £1200 for the Croston Flood Relief Fund, which was presented to Croston WI to take back to the village.

Tarleton WI president Anne Ball said: “Tarleton WI felt they needed to do something to help the people of the neighbouring village following the awful flooding on Boxing Day. The idea was hatched at our January committee meeting and a few weeks later the show went on.

“Bon Marche kindly provided their services and clothes for us and seven of our members modelled them with flair. Carol from ‘Colour Me Beautiful’ also joined us, giving tips to our audience about their colour choices of garments.

“The night was very well supported, we had a stall with homemade cakes and a WI stall with handmade crafts for sale. Thanks to everybody who helped in anyway”
