Fire crews tackle blaze in Euxton

Firefighters battled a gas fire with powder and water in Euxton on Thursday, May 10.

A Lancashire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "Fire engines from Chorley and Leyland attended Geenside, Euxton after the caller reported a fire involving a gas canister.

"When crews arrived at the scene they found that the fire involved an LPG cylinder and they extinguished the fire using a dry powder extinguish and a hose reel.

"Firefighters were on scene approximately 20 minutes."
