Firefighters tackle 'suspicious' car blaze in Leyland

One fire engine from Leyland rushed to Cocker Bar Road where they discovered the car "well alight" at around 12.55am today (December 23).

Firefighters equipped with two breathing apparatus doused the flames using a water jet.

No injuries have been reported but the fire service has confirmed police were called due to the "suspicious origin" of the blaze.

Firefighters were at the scene for approximately half an hour.
