Four shops found selling booze to under 18s
Four shops that sold alcohol to children have been fined after a police test purchasing operation last night.
The four Preston stores – on Ribbleton Avenue, Kent Street, Plungington Road and Friargate – were each issued with a £90 fine.
Police visited nine shops yesterday evening to test if the correct checks were made before alcohol is sold. Five passed, but four failed.
