General election candidates for Chorley named

The candidates standing in Chorley in next month’s general election have been announced.

They are Stephen Fenn (Liberal Democrats), Lindsay Hoyle (Labour), Rob Loughenbury (Conservative), Adrian Maudsley (Independent), Mark Smith (UK Independence Party) and Alistair Straw (Greens).

Mr Hoyle was Chorley’s MP until Parliament was dissolved.

Voters will be able to make their choice when they go to the polls on Thursday, May 7.

Local and parish councils will be held on the same day.
