Santa Run, Chorley, Saturday November 12

Why not watch as more than 100 people dressed as Santa walk from Chorley over Rivington Pike and back to raise money for Derian House? There will also be radio DJ - Rob Charles, plus Derian Danni, Mr and Mrs Christmas, Dame Neffy-Titty from Chorley Little Theatre Panto Cleopatra as well as Chorley Silver Band playing to the Santas for the warm up from 10am. The walk starts at 10.30am at the Rose and Crown.

World War One Commemorative Sing Song, Chorley, Friday November 11

KTB Music with Katy Bradley will host World War One music from 2.30pm to 4pm in The Lancastrian, Chorley Town Hall. Admission is £3 on the door in aid of The Royal British Legion.

Remembrance Parade, Leyland, Sunday November 13

A procession starts from Leyland Civic Centre, West Paddock, at 10.40am, walking along Lancastergate and Church Road to the cenotaph for a short service and wreath-laying.

Meet the author, Chorley, Monday November 14

Author Philip Caine, who wrote Picnic in Iraq and To Catch a Fox will be speaking about his experiences in Iraq at Chorley Library from 7pm to 8pm. Tickets are £2 and available from Chorley Library.

Remembrance Parade, Chorley, Sunday November 13

Procession from Chorley Town Hall at 9.45am to St Laurence’s Church, followed by a service and laying of wreaths at the cenotaph and one-minute silence.
