Woman stole from agency

A woman has been convicted of stealing money from a Preston travel agent.

Katherine Gabbott was charged with stealing 3,022.28 belonging to Going Places.

Preston Magistrates Court ordered the 23 year-old, of Wellfield Road, Blackburn, to pay 1,922.28 compensation to the Fishergate store and court costs of 45.

She received a 30-day prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and 120 hours unpaid work.

Resist charge

Francis Geoffrey Finch, 36, of Charlotte Place, Preston, pleaded guilty to resisting a constable in the execution of his duty.

Preston Magistrates Court fined Finch 50 and 50 court costs.

Lidl theft

A Preston man pleaded guilty to stealing a USB accessories pack worth 14.99 from Lidl stores.

Preston magistrates ordered Craig Joseph Thomas, 33, of Fishwick Road, Preston, to pay a 50 fine and 15 compensation.

Man fined for drink offence

A Preston man has been found guilty of disorderly behaviour while drunk in a public place.

Preston magistrates fined Daniel Mark Dawson, 22, of Mason Hill View, Fulwood, Preston, 50, with compensation of 15 and 45 costs.

He was fined a further 100 for failing to surrender to a police station after being released on bail, making a total of 210.
