Organisers of Chorley Carnival are encouraging people to come forward to help plan next year’s event.
A meeting will be held on Tuesday for people to get involved in the carnival.
It starts at 8pm at the Rose And Crown, on St Thomas’s Road, Chorley.
The committee wants to hear how people think the carnival could be improved and needs more volunteers, particularly to help with raising funds.
Paul Wilkins, carnival committee chairman, said: “We have got our existing committee, who all have jobs to do, but we are looking for people who will help to acquire more sponsorship for us next year. We want people who are good at getting sponsorship from businesses.
“We also want some new ideas. If people have something they would like to see, they could come forward with their ideas.”
This year’s carnival attracted around 5,000 people and crowds lined the street to watch the parade.
But the heavy rain kept many away from Astley Park and the carnival did not raise money for its charities.
