Knife-point robbery attempted at Post Office near Chorley

Two men have attempted a knife-point robbery at a Post Office near Chorley, it has been reported.

Police were called to the Post Office, on School Lane, Brinscall, after reports of the attempted robbery at around 2pm on Monday (June 20).

A force spokesman said: Two males entered the premises and threatened two members of staff with a knife

“They attempted to steal money but were unable to and made off empty-handed.”

Police believe this was an isolated incident, but say patrols have been stepped up in the area and enquiries are ongoing.
